Athlon II X2
As we know, AMD has introduced 2 45mm dual core processor, the Athlon II X2 250 and the Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition. Now, lets we see AMD Athlon II X2 250. The Athlon II comes witg 45mm processor and running at 3,0GHz. This Processor is compatible with AM2+ and AM3 sockets. It’s also compatible with DDR2 memory and DDR3 memory.
The $80 processor is comprised of roughly 234 million transistors and has a die size of only 117.5mm, which is less than half the size of a Phenom II.This processor just have 2 cores, unlike Phenom X2, which has two cores disabled. One more advantage of the new Athlon II is a lower TDP of 65W, compared with 80W of the Phenom II X2.
